HESA is more than just a student organization focused on higher education. It is higher education students focused on organization. This means that each and every person who joins the organization this—and every—year plays an important part in defining HESA. Those who join HESA provide the ideas for the organization, steer the direction of its efforts, and contribute to the achievement of its goals. It is these higher education enthusiasts whom the organization recognizes at its meetings, e.g., through voting privileges, highlights in its publications, e g., LionTales spotlights, and spoils at its events.
Now, you may be asking how one goes about showing the true love and affection that one holds for HESA. Please don’t fret because we’re here to tell you. Aside from attending and actively participating in all the meetings, you should pay your dues and become a full member! After all, if you have great visions of what you want the organization to do and achieve, YOU also have to make sure that it has the resources to do it.
